Information stored on your device

Drop Browser stores browsing history, bookmarks, settings, download history, saved files, and playback positions for videos and other media on your device.

Website data, including cookies, is managed by iOS WebKit.

This information and your saved files are not sent to a server operated by Drop Browser.

To manage the free version’s daily download limit, the app stores the day of use and the number of downloads used that day in the device Keychain. This information is managed separately from ordinary browsing data.

You can delete browsing data and saved files from within the app.

Websites and downloads

When you browse a website or download a file, your device connects directly to that website or its media provider.

The destination website may receive information needed for communication and content delivery, such as your IP address, browser information, cookies, and Referer.

Each website or service handles information under its own privacy policy and terms of use.

Filter Lists for Ad Blocking

To block ads and trackers, the app downloads lists of blocking rules ("filter lists") from their publishers:

• easylist.to (EasyList, EasyPrivacy)
• filters.adtidy.org (AdGuard Japanese filter)

These requests are made only while Block Ads is on: when you turn it on, when you open the app and at least four days have passed since the last update check, and when you choose Update Now.

You choose whether to turn Block Ads on in the introductory screen when you first open the app. No filter lists are downloaded until you move past that screen, and none are downloaded if you leave Block Ads off.

As with ordinary web requests, the publishers receive your IP address, a User-Agent containing the app name and version and the OS version, and the time of the request. Requests also send information used to check whether your copy of the list is up to date (ETag and Last-Modified values, when available).

These requests do not send the URLs of pages you visit, your browsing history, cookies, or device or user identifiers. All decisions about what to block are made on your device.

The publishers are operated by third parties independent of Drop Browser, and they handle the information they receive under their own policies.

To stop these requests, turn off Block Ads in Settings › Content Blocking. You can also turn off Ads or Trackers individually; lists for a category that is turned off are not downloaded.

Premium purchases

Premium purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple.

Drop Browser checks purchase status to determine which features are available.

Drop Browser does not receive payment information such as credit card numbers.

Saved files

Downloaded files are stored on your device.

Drop Browser does not provide an upload service to its own servers or a cloud sync feature.

If you send files to another app or service using the iOS Files app or sharing features, that service’s privacy policy and terms of use apply to its subsequent handling of those files.

Support inquiries

If you contact us, we may receive information you send, such as your email address and the contents of your inquiry, so we can reply and provide support.

We use this information to respond to your inquiry and provide necessary support.

This website

This website may save settings such as your language choice in your browser’s local storage.

We do not use analytics services or advertising trackers.

Our hosting provider may process basic access logs, including IP addresses and access times, to deliver and secure the website and respond to misuse.

Changes to this policy

We may change this privacy policy when Drop Browser features, website content, or related services change.

If we make changes, we will post them on this page and update the last updated date.
